The project is aimed at the development of the Black sea inland of the municipality of Avren and
the attraction of the tourists to the discovery of unknown sites with high tourism potential.
The activities will focus on two main themes: the improvement of the tourist infrastructure which
constitutes the prerequisites for sustainable increase of the competitiveness of the area and its
overall development, and the viable market promotion and commercialization.
The infrastructure related activities include reconstruction of two information centres (TICs)
in the existing resort area of Kamchia and Bliznatsi village, a bicycle trail in the Kamchia resort area,
a picnic area in the Yunak village area, a cognitive itinerary in the Longoz forest and two recreational
points (with children play-ground, thematic exhibition, benches and tables, etc.)
The project foresees active promotion of the region as a tourist destination through various
advertising materials and the active collaboration of the two TICs with companies and bodies from
the tourist sector. The TICs will actively cooperate also with the local community so that to encourage
the private initiative which will guarantee the long-term effect of the project and the efficient use
of the project’s results.
